Haven Cottage is an award-winning bed & breakfast situated just a 5 minute stroll from the centre of Ambleside. It is home to Amanda, Mark, their daughter, Lucy and 2 dogs Molly & Martha.
It is adult only and has 4 rooms; 2 suites both with roll top baths and 2 cosy doubles, all with en-suite shower rooms. Each of the rooms has high quality linens, fluffy towels, luxury handmade toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities with fresh milk.
There is a cosy guest lounge with a log burner and homemade treats are served here each afternoon.
Breakfast is our speciality with a large and varied menu, with a choice of homemade granola, Greek yoghurt and the daily berries and fruit, a full cooked breakfast whether you prefer a Cumbrian, vegetarian or vegan option. Followed by pastries and served with homemade toast. All of the ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, with the best taste and quality being of utmost importance. Being a nutritional therapist Amanda has used her knowledge to ensure that the breakfasts are delicious but are also nutritionally beneficial to the body.
Mark is a keen walker and having climbed all of the Wainwright Fells has a detailed knowledge of the area. He loves nothing more than helping guests decide the perfect walk for them and supplies the routes and maps they need for the day.
